In 2006, Leipzig based DJ and producer Matthias Tanzmann set up Cargo Edition to serve as an extension of the stylistic spectrum of its parent label Moon Harbour Recordings.
Five years on has seen Cargo Edition develop into an independent platform with its own unique voice and family of illustrious artists, each adding to the label's character; from the multilayered and melodic tracks of Sven Tasnadi, Markus Schatz and Juno6, to the detailed aesthetics of Michael Melchner, from the reduced dry sounds of Vera to the functional house of Ekkohaus. On top of A&R-ing Cargo Edition, Matthias Tanzmann also contributes his own original and remix work for the label.
Cargo Edition is a sub division of Moon Harbour Recordings
Supported by: Karotte, Phil Weeks, Reboot, Audiofly, Federico Molinari, Fabrizio Maurizi,Andrew Grant, Martinez, Anja Schneider, Jullietta, Luca Bacchetti, Anthony Collins, Ralf Kollman, Luna City Express, Ekkohaus, Markus Schatz, Arado, Martin Eyerer and many more.
Finally! The next installment of Cargo Edition’s Warehouse series just came out. It features tracks by Steven Cock, Ekkohaus, Sven Tasnadi & Michael Melchner.
Michael Melchner - contributing the title track “SUMU” to this cooperation - comes along with a genuine declaration of love to deep House music. Sumu mainly build of trippy ambient sounds and sizzling hats, combined with a chunky but smooth kick, generates a warm and cozy feeling, which you will love for sure.

Oslo Records boss Federico Molinari has mixed a compilation called “No Way to Norway”, to be released today.
The release works much like any other label compilation, highlighting Oslo’s core artists as well as a few newcomers, but with one significant twist: there’s no way to know which artist did which track. According to a press release, this is an attempt to put the focus back on the DJ, while at the same time allowing listeners to “fully immerse themselves into the mix without prejudice.”
The sleeve does, however, list all of the contributing artists in alphabetical order. They are: Christian Burkhardt, Damian Schwartz, Einzelkind, Ernesto Ferreyra, Franco Cinelli, Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts feat. Qzen, Ivel Tax, Johnny D, Juan Sorrentino, Skipson, Leonel Castillo, Maayan Nidam, Michael Melchner, Markus Fix, Noidoi, Reboot, Ray Okpara & Nekes and Sascha Dive. All of the tracks are previously unreleased.
